Once you submit, our program coordinator confirms your details and your classroom count goes into the production run for the school year. You’ll get a confirmation email with your shipping timeline.

Classroom count matters most. Materials are packaged and printed by classroom, so an accurate number means no teacher gets left out.
One form per school. A principal, secretary, reading coach or individual teacher can all submit it.
No cost, no commitment. If your district needs review time first, submit anyway and note it — we’ll hold your spot.

Wacky Reader is structured to complement existing classroom reading goals rather than replace or influence instructional decisions.
Is this advertising to students?
No. The program is built around recognition, not promotion. Certificates are awarded by the teacher for academic achievement. There is no in-class marketing activity and no sales pitch.
What student data is collected?
None. We collect a school name, a staff contact, a shipping address and a classroom count. Student names appear only on the classroom’s own progress poster, which never leaves the room.
Does it affect instruction?
No. Teachers retain complete control over reading goals, materials and pacing. The program requires no changes to your literacy curriculum.
What does it cost the district?
Nothing. All materials, printing and shipping are funded by the participating SONIC franchisee through Umstattd Sonic Group.
What’s the staff time commitment?
Minimal and teacher-controlled: set a goal, mark a poster, tear out certificates. No reporting back to us, no portal and no mid-year paperwork.
Can we opt individual classrooms in?
Yes. Participation is by classroom. Enroll one grade level, one teacher or the whole building — whatever fits.
Public & school libraries
Wacky Reader works the same way in a library setting. Your library sets its own reading goal — summer reading challenges, after-school programs, storytime milestones — and students who reach it receive a certificate for a free Wacky Pack Kids Meal.
It’s designed to support the reading programs you already run rather than compete with them, and there is no cost to implement.
